DIY and Energy Saving Tips

• Change your air conditioning filter (or clean non-disposable filter) once a month to prevent dirt and debris from entering your ventilation system and hindering the unit's performance over time. 
• Set your thermostat between 68 to 70 degrees in the winter and lower if you are not home.  Bundle up with clothing or blankets to keep warm.
• Set your thermostat between 78 to 80 degrees in the summer and higher if you are not home.  Run ceiling fans to circulate cool air.
• Check with your local electric utility to find out if you are on the rate plan that saves you the most money based on your energy demands.
