Benefits of Regular AC Maintenance
Performing routine checkups on your AC just as you would other expensive mechanical equipment such as a car will extend its life.
Regular maintenance can identify common AC problems that may occur before they become an emergency such as refrigerant leaks, duct leakage, electrical issues, or a clogged condensate drain.
Running your AC at peak efficiency will save you energy and money on your electric bills.

DIY and Energy Saving Tips
- Change your air conditioning filter (or clean non-disposable filter) once a month to prevent dirt and debris from entering your ventilation system and hindering the unit's performance over time.
- Set your thermostat between 68 to 70 degrees in the winter and lower if you are not home. Bundle up with clothing or blankets to keep warm.
- Set your thermostat between 78 to 80 degrees in the summer and higher if you are not home. Run ceiling fans to circulate cool air.
- Check with your local electric utility to find out if you are on the rate plan that saves you the most money based on your energy demands.
Maintaining an HVAC system is necessary to ensure it's working properly at all times, and at peak efficiency. If air conditioning and heating systems are not regularly cleaned, tuned up, and maintained, there is a higher chance of the appliances performing poorly.
